SUBJECT: Approve the First Amendment to Contract Between the County of Lake and Lake Family Resource Center for Differential Response Services Through June 30, 2017 for the Amount of $70,000; and authorize the Chair to Sign.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Lake County Department of Social Services (LCDSS) began contracting with the Lake Family Resource Center (LFRC) for the provision of DR services on October 1, 2007 with your Board’s approval. The most recent contract with LFRC expired on December 31, 2016, and, by agreement with LCDSS, LFRC has continued providing services to Lake County families.
The term of the contract pursuant to this Amendment is January 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017.

Estimated Cost: $70,000.00 per fiscal year
Amount Budgeted: $35,000.00 (1/2 fiscal year) + $70,000.00 (full fiscal year)

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative):
Because the term was expanded from one year to one and a half years, the total compensation increased accordingly. The amount per fiscal year of $70,000 remains the same. It is paid by LCDSS Child Welfare Services funds, supplemented by some of the annual Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) funds. The State Budget allocation for PSSF applied to this DR program is approximately $16,000.00 per fiscal year. There is no county cost associated with this contract.
