SUBJECT: Approve the Training Services Agreement with the University of California, Davis in the Amount of $178,500 terminating on June 30, 2018; and authorize the Chair to Sign.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
For many years we have contracted with the University of California at Davis (UCD), University Extension for the provision of training for our staff. In addition to the variety of subject areas from which we can select, the training provided enables our compliance with mandates for specialized training, such as cultural awareness. UCD provides our staff with training on topics including Effective Interviewing, Supervisory Effectiveness, Fraud Detection and Prevention, and Confidentiality and Ethics in the Workplace. We have negotiated with UCD for forty two (42) days of training for the 17/18 fiscal year.
