SUBJECT: Approve the First Amendment to the Agreement between the County of Lake and Women’s Recovery Services for Substance Use Disorder Residential and Detoxification Services for Fiscal Year 2016-17 in the amount of $40,000 and authorize the Board Chair to sign the Amendment.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Attached, for your approval, is the First Amendment to the Agreement between the County of Lake and Women’s Recovery Services for Substance Use Disorder Residential and Detoxification Services for Fiscal Year 2016-17. Under this Agreement, Alcohol & Other Drug Services, a division of Lake County Behavioral Health, is obligated to pay $112.00 per day for single women with no children; $129.00 per day for women with one (1) child; and $145.00 per day for women with two (2) children.
BACKROUND AND DISCUSSION: Women’s Recovery Services (WRS) was founded in 1975 with the mission of providing residential addiction treatment exclusively for women. Women’s Recovery Services has been providing substance abuse treatment for women for over 35 years. Women’s Recovery Services has been licensed in Addiction Treatment in the State of California since 1975.
Due to increased utilization, Lake County Behavioral Health is requesting an increase in the total maximum payable under the Agreement of $10,000 for a new contract maximum of $40,000.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): Due to increased utilization, Lake County Behavioral Health is requesting the approval of the First Amendment to the Agreement for an increase in the total maximum payable under the Agreement in the amount of $10,000 for a new contract maximum of $40,000. The funds for the increase of this contract in the amount of $10,000 will be re-allocated from other unassigned funds within the same level of care.
