SUBJECT: Approve Long Distance Travel to Las Vegas, Nevada for Three Employees from the Probation, Sheriff and County Counsel offices to attend the Labor Law Arbitration for Law Enforcement seminar on June 21 and 22, 2017.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Sheriff and Probation Department requests approval for out of state travel for one member of each department as well as one member from County Counsel, to attend the Labor Law and Labor Arbitration for Law Enforcement seminar on June 21 and 22, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This seminar will address issues in discipline and contract law from the perspective of both labor and management. Each session is designed for Public Safety departments with the faculty members having experience as labor arbitrators in law enforcement.
