SUBJECT:                     Approve the Second Amendment to the Agreement between the County of Lake and Catholic Charities for Specialty Mental Health Services provided at St. Vincent School for Boys for Fiscal Year 2016-17 for an increase of $25,000 for a new contract maximum of $110,000; and authorize the Chair to sign.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:  Attached, for your approval, is the Second Amendment to the Agreement between the County of Lake and Catholic Charities for Specialty Mental Health Services for Fiscal Year 2016-17.  Under the Agreement, Lake County Behavioral Health is obligated to pay for Specialty Mental Health Services provided at St. Vincent School for Boys.

 

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION:  St. Vincent School for Boys in San Rafael, is an RCL 12 placement for children and youth in need of a more intensive program milieu.  As Child Welfare Services or Probation are ultimately responsible for initiating the placement of Lake County children and youth, Lake County Behavioral Health is ultimately responsible for reimbursement of any Specialty Mental Health Services these children and youth receive.

 

As an additional Lake County Medi-Cal beneficiary has been placed at St. Vincent School for Boys, Lake County Behavioral Health is requesting an increase of  $25,000 for a new contract maximum of $110,000.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): As an additional Lake County Medi-Cal beneficiary has been placed at St. Vincent School for Boys by the Lake County Child Welfare Services or Probation department, Lake County Behavioral Health is requesting approval of the Second Amendment to the Agreement for an increase in the total maximum payable under the Agreement in the amount of $25,000 for a new contract maximum of $110,000.  The funds for this increase will be re-allocated from unassigned budgeted funds within the same level of care (RCL 12).
