TO:                                          Board of Housing Commissioners

FROM:                     Kathy Maes, Social Services Director

DATE:                                          April 4, 2017

SUBJECT:                      Consideration of Approval of Form HUD 50077-CR: Civil Rights Certification for required submission; and authorize the Chair to Sign.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

As the Lake County Housing Commission, we are considered by HUD to be a "qualified" Public Housing Agency (PHA) because we administer less than 550 Section 8 Housing vouchers, we are not designated as a "troubled PHA" and we do not have a failing score under the Section 8 Management Assessment Program.

As a "qualified" PHA we are required to approve a Civil Rights certification annually for submission to HUD.
