MEMORANDUM

TO:                                          Jeff Smith, Chairman, Board of Supervisors

FROM:                     Brian L. Martin, Sheriff/Coroner

DATE:                                          April 4, 2017

SUBJECT:                     Request to add weapons to the Sheriff’s Department fixed asset inventory

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:  The Sheriff’s Department recently disposed of several of its confiscated weapons from cases that had been adjudicated.  In return, the department received a credit from ProForce Law Enforcement in which 30 Ruger Model 8500 weapons received.   The department requests to add these weapons to its fixed asset inventory.  Since no funds were expended, and there was no cost to the County, there was no invoice to process.    The fixed asset document is attached and will be provided to the Auditor’s Office along with a minute order authorizing the inclusion of these weapons.
