SUBJECT: Approve Letter of Support for Veterans Housing Development Corporation
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Since July of 2015, under agreement with your Board, Veterans Housing Development Corporation (VHDC) has been engaged in evaluating the viability of a permanent supportive housing development for very low income veterans and their families on County-owned property in the City of Clearlake located adjacent to Adventist Health Hospital.
The attached letter of support is intended to document Lake County’s need for such Veteran’s housing and will be used by VHDC in its attempts to secure funding for the project.
