SUBJECT: Approve Agreement with City of Clearlake to Store Vehicles at SE Regional Treatment Plant for the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Program and authorize the Chair to sign.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The City of Clearlake requires a location to store vehicles as part of the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement (AVA) program. The Sewer Treatment Plant on Pond Road was identified as a preferable site and they requested use of the property for the AVA program. Vehicles will be towed to and stored at the site until they have enough to bring in a truck to haul them away.
We wanted to assist with the AVA program but did have some concerns about use of the property and how it would be left after the program ended.
The attached agreement addresses our concerns for the use of the property and identifies that all vehicles will be removed and any contamination or damage to the site will be repaired and restored at no cost to Lake County Sanitation District.
