SUBJECT: Acceptance of $25,000 donation
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
On behalf of the County of Lake, the County Administrative Office requests that your Board accept the generous donation of $25,000 from the Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake. The tribe’s tremendous gift has been made without a specific designation for use. As your Board is aware, staff recently hosted a tourism stakeholders meeting, including our tribal partners, to discuss and determine enhanced tourism and destination marketing for Lake County. Staff recommends using this donation to further those efforts.
FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative):
Funds will be deposited in General Fund Budget Unit 1892, Marketing.
STAFFING IMPACT (if applicable): None
Recommended Action
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends your Board accept the Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake’s generous gift of $25,000, and advises using these funds to further marketing efforts.
