SUBJECT: Approve Contract between the County of Lake and Redwood Toxicology Laboratory, Inc. in the Amount of $20,000 starting July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2020; and authorize the Chair to Sign.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
As your Board is aware, Redwood Toxicology Laboratory (RTL) currently performs drug and alcohol testing for the Lake County Department of Social Services pursuant to a contract which terminates June 30, 2017. Drug and alcohol testing is necessary to ensure the safety of dependent children and client compliance with mandates. Often the testing is court ordered. The term of this agreement is July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2020. Maximum compensation per fiscal year is $20,000.00, reflected in the Social Services budget.
