SUBJECT: Approve Contract between the County of Lake and Lake County Office of Education for Foster Youth Services in the amount of $45,000 starting July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018; and authorize the Chair to sign.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
As your Board is aware, the Lake County Office of Education (LCOE) receives funding from the California Department of Education for educational services provided to foster youth attending schools in Lake County. This contract will maximize the State funding by drawing down allowable federal funds. This is an opportunity for the County, with no expenditure of County funds, to provide needed educational services to children in foster care. The term of this Contract is July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018.
