SUBJECT: Approve Contract between County of Lake and Symmetric Solutions for Homeless Study in the Amount of $38,300 beginning July 1, 2017 through September 30, 2017; and authorize the Chair to sign.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The County of Lake through its Department of Social Services wishes to contract with Symmetric Solutions to carry out a homeless study that will assist the Department, as well as other agencies in the County of Lake, to have current, raw data to determine the actual need for homeless services in the County of Lake and to plan for services accordingly.
Such a study was carried out in the County of Shasta within the past two years and it has shaped the focus of services provided, as well as County policy.
Funding for this study is being provided by the California State Department of Housing and Community Development through the Community Development Block Grant program.
