EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Health Services Department is requesting Board approval to renew the Immunization Assistance Program grant for Fiscal Years 2017/2018 through 2021/2022 in the amount of $197,715.
Health Officers are required to organize and maintain a program to make required immunizations available. This program assists the County in defraying costs which supports the State’s objectives to control diseases that are preventable by vaccines. Immunizations provided in this program include rubella, measles, mumps, polio, diphtheria, tetanus, haemophilus influenzae b, varicella, and hepatitis B vaccines to the general public.
