SUBJECT:                     a) Approve Lease Agreement between the County of Lake and the Assembly Committee on Rules, California State Assembly for a District Satellite Office at the County-owned building at 885 Lakeport Blvd; and authorize the Chair to sign and b) Approve Amendment One to the Lease Agreement between the County of Lake and the Senate Rules Committee, California Legislature for a District Satellite Office at the County-owned building at 885 Lakeport Blvd; and authorize the Chair to sign.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

In 2015 the County of Lake entered into two separate lease agreements with the California State Senate and the California State Assembly for the establishment of a district satellite office for Senator Mike McGuire and Assemblymember Bill Dodd at the County-owned building at 885 Lakeport Blvd (a.k.a. Agricultural Building). Senator McGuire desires to amend the lease, and newly elected Assemblymember Aguiar-Curry desires to establish a new lease, at the same location.

The proposed lease amendment for Senator McGuire extends the term of the agreement to December 31, 2020, whereas the lease agreement for Assemblymember Aguiar-Curry will terminate on June 30, 2019. Both leases require a $58/month rent payment.
