SUBJECT:                      Consideration of Request for Variance from Appendix A of the Sewer Use Ordinance, Sec. 205., to allow Development of Living Quarters Using a Septic System Instead of Hooking up to the Sewer Mainline for Two Adjacent parcels, APN 004-026-13 and -14.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: APN’s 004-026-13 and -14, owned by Keith Long and his father Henry Long respectively, are located within LACOSAN, specifically on Mackie Road in North Lakeport.  Please see the attached map. The property owners are requesting that they be allowed to install septic systems to serve the homes they intend to build for the reasons in their written requests, which are attached.  LACOSAN field staff and the Area Superintendent concur. Please see the attached Service Request.  Jan Coppinger and Deputy Administrator Scott Harter, who is a registered civil engineer have no objections to the request for a variance, nor does Environmental Health department head, Ray Ruminski.  Please see the attached email.
