SUBJECT: (a) Adopt Resolution of Board of Directors Lake County Watershed District Approving the Intent to Participate in the Deferred Maintenance Project to Receive State Funds Under the Section 6.10 OF Senate Bill 826 (STATS. 2016, CH. 23); and (b) Authorize the Director of Water Resources to Sign the Project Agreement and Standard Conditions Statement
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This resolution is to accept state funding in the amount of $40,000 for deferred maintenance of District levee culverts. The Department of Water Resources has funds available to support video inspection of levee penetrations (culverts). The Lake County Watershed Protection District has 42 such penetrations in our levee system. Based on the inspection results, the DWR will prepare a Pipe Rehabilitation Plan. Additional funding will be secured from the state to implement recommended repairs. The last video inspections were completed in 2013.
