SUBJECT                      Consideration of Request for Board direction to staff regarding fee waivers

 

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

 

As your Board recalls, during your July 18, 2017 agenda, you approved the temporary closure of Clear Lake for the upcoming Hot Car and Boat Show.

 

During your deliberations, one Board member asked staff to return to the Board on August 15, 2017 with recommended policy for fee waivers for such events.  At that time, another Board member expressed a different view point on fee waivers.

 

On the advice of Chairman Smith, staff is asking to revisit that discussion and clarify the direction of your Board.
