SUBJECT: Approve Contract Between the County of Lake and Lake Family Resource Center for CAPIT Services in the Amount of $75,883.00, from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018; and authorize the Chair to Sign.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Child Abuse Prevention, Intervention, and Treatment (CAPIT) funds are allocated annually by the State. The California Department of Social Services has approved using these funds to provide in-home parenting education (the Nurturing Parenting Program ®) to parents referred by the Lake County Department of Social Services (LCDSS) through the Differential Response services program. As your Board is aware, pursuant to contracts, Lake Family Resource Center has provided Differential Response services since 2006 and Nurturing Parenting instruction since 2002.
