SUBJECT: Adopt Resolution Setting Rate of Pay for Election Officers for the November 7, 2017 General District Election Pursuant to Section 12310 of the Elections Code.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Registrar of Voters is charged with the duty to appoint persons to serve in various positions in order to conduct the November 7, 2017 General District Election as well as setting the rate of pay for each person working as a result of the General District Election. Pursuant to Section 12310 of the California Elections Code, I am submitting a resolution setting the rate of compensation for members of the precinct board and support staff for the upcoming November 7, 2017 General District Election.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative):
The Department’s FY 2017-2018 Final Budget has been updated to include payment for the members of the precinct board and support staff working at the upcoming November 7, 2017 General District Election. This office will be conducting the election for two (2) Special Districts and those Districts will be required to reimburse the Registrar of Voters office in full for all costs associated with the General District Election.
