SUBJECT: Adopt Resolution Increasing the Change Fund for the Department of Animal Care & Control.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Four years ago the change fund was increased to the current $50. At that time, we were handling approximately $4,000 a week in revenue. Our most recent fiscal year saw weekly revenue of approximately $6,000, and the current change fund cannot handle the increase without daily adjustments. We are requesting that the change fund be increased to $200, which will allow us to adequately manage our cash transactions.
