SUBJECT: Adopt Resolution Amending the FY 2017-18 Budget to Incorporate the List of Projects Proposed to be Funded Pursuant to the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 (SB1).
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 (SB1) provides additional funding for basic road maintenance and rehabilitation. One-half of the funding generated from SB1 is allocated to cities and counties with the remaining 50% being retained by the State. For FY 2017-18, Lake County is expected to receive approximately $800,000, which has been appropriated in the FY 2017/18 adopted budget.
Although the adopted budget reflects this revenue estimate, actual receipt of this funding is subject to the State’s approval of a proposed project list that has been formally established pursuant to a Board-adopted Resolution. The attached Resolution provides for the required project.
