The Environmental Health Division of the Health Services Department recently received notification from CalEPA of the opportunity to receive funding of up to $100,000 to support our County CUPA program.
The Unified Program ensures consistency throughout the state in regard to administrative requirements, permits, inspections, and enforcement for businesses that handle hazardous materials or generate hazardous wastes. CalEPA oversees the statewide implementation of the Unified Program and its 81 certified local government agencies (CUPAs), which apply established regulatory standards.
This funding will be used to help fully implement the County CUPA Program.
