SUBJECT: Approve Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement between the County of Lake and Charis Youth Center for Specialty Mental Health Services for Fiscal Year 2017-18
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Attached, for your approval, is the Amendment 2 to the Agreement between the County of Lake and Charis Youth Center for Specialty Mental Health Services for Fiscal Year 2017-18. Under this Agreement, Lake County Behavioral Health (LCBH) is obligated to pay for Specialty Mental Health Services per Charis Youth Center’s current published rate schedule.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION: Charis Youth Center is a Rate Classification Level 14 placement for children and youth that cannot maintain placement in the Lake County Foster Care program and are in need of a more structured program milieu. The need for this Amendment was precipitated by the placement of a Lake County Medi-Cal beneficiary by either Lake County Probation or Child Welfare Services.

Original Contract Amount: $20,000
Amendment 1 Increase: $30,000
New Contract Amount: $50,000
FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): Approve Amendment 2 to the Agreement for Fiscal Year 2017-18 for an increase of $30,000 for a new contract maximum of $50,000.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve Amendment 2 to the Agreement between County of Lake and Charis Youth Center for Fiscal Year 2017-18 for a new contract maximum of $50,000 and to authorize the Board Chair to sign the Amendment.
