SUBJECT: (a) Waive the formal bidding process, pursuant to Lake County Code Section 38.2, as it is not in the public interest due to the unique nature of goods or services; and (b) Approve the Agreement between the County of Lake and Redwood Community Services, Inc. for the MHSA funded Lake County Family Stabilization Program for Fiscal Year 2017-18 for a contract maximum of $141,698.40 and authorize the Board Chair to sign the Agreement.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Attached, for your approval, is the Agreement between the County of Lake and Redwood Community Services, Inc. (RCS) for the MHSA funded Lake County Family Stabilization Program for Fiscal Year 2017-18. Under this Agreement, Lake County Behavioral Health (LCBH) is obligated to pay a maximum contract amount of $141,698.40.

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION: RCS has continually served Lake County residents through their Foster Care programs and the Lake County WRAP program. LCBH chooses to continue to support RCS to provide the Lake County Family Stabilization Program.

As LCBH has had a successful working relationship with RCS and would like to continue this working relationship, LCBH is requesting to waive the formal bidding process pursuant to Lake County Code Section 38.2, as it is not in the public interest due to the unique nature of goods or services.

Contract Amount: $141,698.40

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): This Agreement is funded through Mental Health Services Act Prevention and Early Intervention funds.
