SUBJECT: Approve Notice of Project Completion and Authorize Release of Retention to Warner Enterprises, Inc. for the Valley Fire Hazard Tree Mitigation Phase II Project completed on August 30, 2017, in the amount of $25,742.31.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: On September 20, 2016, the Board approved the Agreement with Warner Enterprises, Inc. for the Valley Fire Hazard Tree Mitigation Phase II Project. The work under the Agreement commenced on July 5, 2017 and was satisfactorily completed on August 30, 2017. In accordance with the Agreement, the County retained 5% from each invoice with the total retained amount to be paid upon final acceptance of the contract work by the County. The attached “Notice of Project Completion and Release of Retention” has been signed by Warner Enterprises and County staff indicating that acceptance.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): Reimbursement is expected from the FEMA Public Assistance and State of California Disaster Assistance Act programs. There are sufficient appropriations in FY 17/18 to cover this cost.
