SUBJECT: Consideration of Amended Agreement between the County of Lake and North Coast Opportunities for Valley Fire and Sulphur Fire Survivor Stable Housing Assistance
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
On March 14, 2017, an Agreement with North Coast Opportunities (NCO) was entered into to manage and disperse Golden State Finance Authority (GSFA) grant funds to Valley Fire Survivors.
On December 6, 2017 the Golden State Finance Authority (GSFA) Board approved the allowance for the County of Lake to use $100,000 of the original $700,000 grant to be used for Sulphur Fire Survivors.
Pursuant to this amended agreement, North Coast Opportunities (NCO) has graciously agreed to manage and disperse grant funds to Valley Fire and Sulphur Fire Survivors. The amended second GSFA agreement provides housing down payment assistance, energy efficiency, and other financing programs with a maximum amount of $2,500 per survivor household. In addition, this agreement allows NCO the ability to claim up to 5% in administrative fees.
NCO has been an incredible partner throughout disaster response and recovery. NCO is to be commended for its efforts.
