SUBJECT: Approve Bid Award to Rogue Jet Boatworks in the amount of $89,983 for the purchase of an Aluminum Patrol/Rescue Boat.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: On November 16, 2017, the Sheriff’s Department issued a sealed bid request for the purchase of a 2017/18, 21-23’ Deep Vee bottom Aluminum patrol/rescue boat. The bid documents were posted on the Sheriff and County websites and published in the Record Bee on 11/18/2017. Three sealed bids were received from the following vendors:
1. North River Boats
2. Clark Boat Company
3. Rogue Jet Boatworks
All three bidders came in over budget during the initial bid submission. However, upon negotiation with Rogue Jet Boatworks, they agreed to reduce their bid to come in under budget.
It is the recommendation of the Marine Patrol Division, to award the contract to Rogue Jet Boatworks in the amount of $89,983.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): Funding has been provided by the State Department of Boating and Waterways and is allocated in the Sheriff/Marine Patrol budget 2205. There is no cost to the County general fund.
