SUBJECT: Authorize Board Appointment of Sara Goldgraben, M.D., to
the Public Health Officer Position
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Health Services Department is requesting Board appointment of Sara Goldgraben, M.D., to the position of Lake County Public Health Officer.
Dr. Goldgraben comes to Lake County Board certified in Preventive Medicine and Public Health. She has a Master’s in Public Health and Business Administration as well as a Bachelor’s of Engineering, Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Goldgraben holds licensure in both New York and California.
Dr. Goldgraben worked at Suffolk County Health Department and rotated in Emergency Preparedness (FEMA/POD), Community Outreach (Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program and Maternal/Infant Programs), TB control, and did a STD presentation on HIV reporting to all twelve hospitals in Suffolk County.
Dr. Goldgraben is skilled in conducting presentations and was selected for an award-winning poster presentation in lung cancer.
