SUBJECT: (a) Approve Submittal of Project Assurances for Federal Assistance-Hazard Mitigation Grants and authorize the County Administrative Officer to sign; and (b) Adopt Resolution for the Designation of Subrecipient's Agent
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This item was originally brought before your Board at a Special Meeting held on August 30, 2016. It was then brought back to your Board for ratification at a regularly-scheduled meeting on September 13, 2016 for the approval of the submittal of an application to CalOES for a Hazard Mitigation Grant and to adopt the resolution authorizing specified County officers to take those actions necessary to obtain this grant.

The grant assurances signed on August 30, 2016 were current at the time of submission, however, on December 28, 2017, the State Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) contacted the County advising that the newest version of their grant assurances and governing body resolution were not on file. The original grant assurances and governing body resolution (2016-139) are attached for your convenience.

The Sheriff's Department requests your Board's approval of the Project Assurances for Federal Assistance-Hazard Mitigation Grants and Designation of Subrecipient's Agent Resolution-Hazard Mitigation Program and Pre-Disaster Mitigation Program.
