SUBJECT:                     Adopt Resolution Approving the Lake County Sheriff's Office to Apply for the State of California, Department of Parks and Recreation Off-Highway Vehicle Grant Funds.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

 

The Sheriff’s Office has applied for and has received approval of a grant through the California State Parks Grants and Cooperative Agreements Program for funding for its Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) enforcement program.  The grant was electronically submitted, and now requires your Boards approval of the attached resolution.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative):

The grant amount totals $40,654 and requires a county match of 25% or $10,163.   The county match is funded through the green sticker fee program and will be transferred from budget 1781.   A budget adjustment was made during the mid year budget review.  There is no cost to the County.
