SUBJECT: Consideration of a Resolution Expressing the Intent of the Board of Supervisors in its Adoption of Urgency Ordinance Number 3071
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
During the Board of Supervisors’ Cannabis Workshop on March 15, 2018, your Board instructed me to prepare a resolution relating to temporary State licensure for your consideration at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Board on March 20, 2018.
Through this resolution, your Board wishes to express your intent that the County’s Urgency Ordinance Number 3071 be viewed as a means to ensure that those persons applying to the State for temporary cannabis cultivation licenses, who are in compliance with requirements of Ordinance Number 3071, remain eligible for and active in the State process to obtain temporary State cultivation licenses. The Board further wishes to express that, with its passage of the County’s permanent cannabis cultivation ordinance on this date, it intends that persons eligible for temporary State licenses for cultivation of the nature and type permitted by the County’s permanent cultivation ordinance will be permitted by the County, subject to all terms and conditions of the permanent ordinance when it becomes effective.
