SUBJECT: Authorize Agreement #EW-2018-14 between the Regents of the University of
California at Davis and the Lake County Department of Social Services for
Training Services in the Amount of $122,400.00, from July 1, 2018 to June 30,
2019 and Authorize the Chair to Sign.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
For several years, we have contracted with the University of California at Davis (UCD), University Extension, for the provision of training for our staff. The training provided enables our compliance with mandates for specialized training. Such as Cultural Awareness, Effective Interviewing, Civil Rights, Confidentiality and Ethics in the Workplace, Fraud Detection and Prevention. We have negotiated with UCD for thirty-two (32) days of training for the 18/19 fiscal year.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative):
There is no County cost associated with this contract. We have negotiated with UCD for thirty-two (32) days of training for the 18/19 fiscal year. The “user’s share of cost” noted in Exhibit A, is all charged through our County Expense Claim to the California Department of Social Services.
