SUBJECT:  Authorize the Public Services Director/Assistant Purchasing Agent to increase the purchase order to Geologic Computer Systems in the amount of $550 for a revised amount not to exceed $119,838.88, due to out of state sales tax that was not included in the original request.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The adopted FY 17/18 budget for the Integrated Waste Management Division of the Public Services Department included an appropriation of $120,000 for the purchase of landfill GPS equipment to help maximize waste compaction and more accurately construct final landfill slopes to permitted grades and elevations.  On November 28, 2017 your Board authorized Public Services Director/Assistant Purchasing Agent to issue a purchase order in the amount of $119,288.88 to Geologic Computer Systems. The final billing was $550.00 higher than the requested amount due to out of state sales tax on taxable items within the quote.

FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): $120,000 was budgeted for the purchase of GPS equipment to help maximize waste compaction and more accurately construct final landfill slopes to permitted grades and elevations. The equipment, service agreements and sales tax amounted to $119,838.88.
