SUBJECT: Authorize Long Distance Travel June 17, 2018 - June 22, 2018 to attend a Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) Hazardous Waste Seminar in Seattle, WA for Craig Wetherbee, Hazardous Materials Specialist II, Environmental Health Division
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Mr. Wetherbee has been invited to attend a Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) Hazardous Waste Seminar in Seattle, Washington.
The RCRA governs the management of hazardous wastes. This training will offer topics surrounding how to avoid the most common mistakes in waste identification, critical generator issues, advanced RCRA topics, air emissions, manifesting and land disposal restrictions (LDR).
This training is important to the work that is done in support of the County’s CUPA
(Certified Unified Program Agency) program.
Travel and all associated costs will be covered by CUPA grant funds.
As Health Services Director, I fully support Mr. Wetherbee’s attendance.
