SUBJECT: Consideration of Resolution Adopting Emergency Operations Plan for the County of Lake and the Lake County Operational Area
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Lake County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services has completed the update of the County Emergency Operations Plan. The Plan was approved by the Lake County Disaster Council on December 13, 2017, after an extensive process to bring the plan into compliance with the latest State and Federal Guidance. The Plan has been publicly posted for comment since May, 2017. Several comments were received and included before presentation at the November 9, 2017 Disaster Council Meeting. Additional changes were requested at that meeting, and incorporated into the Plan. Printed copies of the Plan have also been made available for Public Review. The adopted plan will subsequently be submitted to the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services for their review.
The maintenance of the Emergency Operations Plan is required in order to be eligible for various State & Federal Grants, as well as reimbursement of disaster-related response & recovery expenses.
