SUBJECT: Approve Amendment 2 to the Agreement a between the County of Lake and Star View Adolescent Center OP for Specialty Mental Health Services for Fiscal Year 2017-18 in the amount of $210,000 and Authorize the Board Chair to sign the Amendment.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Attached for your approval, is Amendment 2 to the Agreement between the County of Lake and Star View Adolescent Center OP for Specialty Mental Health Services for Fiscal Year 2017-18. Under the Agreement, Lake County Behavioral Health (LCBH) is obligated to pay for bed days and specialty mental health services provided at Star View’s Behavioral Health Facility and Community Treatment Facility.
BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION: Star View Adolescent Center OP is a Behavioral Health Facility and Community Treatment Facility for children and youth in need of a more intensive program milieu. As a Lake County Medi-Cal beneficiary has been placed at this facility, LCBH is obligated to contract with this facility in order to provide the needed specialty mental health services to the client placed at this facility.

Original Contract Amount: $110,000
Amendment 1 Increase: $100,000
New Contract Amount: $210,000
FISCAL IMPACT (Narrative): LCBH is requesting approval of Amendment 2 to the Agreement in order to increase the Agreement by $100,000 for a new contract maximum of $210,000.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve Amendment 2 to the Agreement between the County of Lake and Star View Adolescent Center OP for Specialty Mental Health Services for an increase of $100,000 for a new contract maximum in the amount of $210,000 for Fiscal Year 2017-18 and authorize the Board Chair to sign the Amendment.
