SUBJECT:                     Adopt Resolution Expressing Support for the Middletown Days Parade and Events; and Temporarily Authorizing a Road Closure, Prohibiting Parking and Authorizing Removal of Vehicles and Ordering the Department of Public Works to Post Signs.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

The Middletown Days parade and activities have been planned from 12:00 p.m., June 15, 2018 through 8:00 p.m. June 17, 2018.

Based on previous Middletown Days events, no-parking zones and a partial road closure are needed to limit congestion so that emergency services can access the area during the Middletown Days events.

Attached, for the Board’s consideration and action, is a resolution of support for the Middletown Days events, and to create the temporary no-parking zones on portions of Barnes Street, Santa Clara Road and Central Park Road, and Wardlaw Street and the temporary closure of portions of Young Street, Armstrong, Douglas Street, Callayomi Street, Bush Street and Hill Avenue.
