SUBJECT: Adopt a Resolution Designating Applicant’s Agent for Federal and State funding for all open disasters and any other disasters for a three year period.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The County of Lake currently has an authorization on file with the California Emergency Management Agency (Cal EMA). This authorization is for the County Administrative Officer or Auditor-Controller to provide the assurances and agreements required for all matters pertaining to disaster assistance to the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services for the purpose of obtaining certain federal financial assistance under Public Law 93-288 as amended by the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, and/or state financial assistance under the California Disaster Assistance Act.
The current authorization is set to expire shortly. This Resolution/Form 130 continues that authorization for all open and future disasters for another three years.
