SUBJECT: Consideration and possible adoption of: (a) new County Purpose Statement and Motto; (b) update to “Vision 2028: Reimagining Lake County,” Ten Key Priorities to Build a Brighter Future
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
On April 10, your Board approved “Vision 2028: Reimagining Lake County,” Ten Key Priorities to Build a Brighter Future. Additionally, you requested that staff recommend a refreshed County mission statement and motto. Supervisor Simon agreed to serve on a committee of staff and department heads that met recently to develop the attached draft for the consideration of your Board.
In addition, the Special Districts Administrator recommended a minor revision to Vision 2028, to include Water and Sanitation under “Improve our infrastructure” because it is vital to local development. With this in mind, a draft recommending this minor revision to Vision 2028 is also attached for your consideration.
