SUBJECT: Approve the creation of an extra help Construction Inspector in County Service for use in the Anderson Springs Sewer Project.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Construction on the Anderson Springs Sewer Project is scheduled to begin and an onsite construction inspector is required for the project.
To ensure full time coverage, we plan to hire two part-time extra help inspectors. Each would have the ability to work up to 24 hours per week and they could coordinate their schedules to provide coverage at all times.
We must find individuals with specialized knowledge and skills to oversee the construction progress and ensure compliance with all regulatory, financing and engineering specifications. Specifically, we will be seeking individuals with experience and knowledge of high density polyethylene fusion welded pipe installation.
We are requesting the Construction Inspector be a Grade A27, which has a starting wage of $28.57 per hour.
