SUBJECT: Consideration of an Agreement for Medical Services in Lake County's Detention Facility with California Forensic Medical Group for FY 2018-2019
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
California Forensic Medical Group (CFMG), has contracted with Lake County for jail medical services since January 1, 1996.
This Agreement is for Fiscal Year 2018-2019. The renewal price for FY2018-2019 under this proposal would be $2,665,613.
Additionally the newly proposed agreement includes changing the weekend .4 FTE Licensed Vocational Nurse to a .4 FTE Registered Nurse.
The quarterly per diem compensation charge of $5.91 should the population be more than 305 per day in a quarter, remains the same as does the per diem reduction charge if the daily combined adult population averages in any calendar quarter during the term of the agreement of less than 305 per day.
The CFMG financial liability for medical/surgical inpatient episodes has not been increased in many years. At no additional cost to the County, CFMG will increase their medical/surgical financial liability from $15,000 to $22,000 and the CFMG financial liability for AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) inmates will increase from $10,000 to $12,000.

Recommended Action
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Staff recommends approval of Agreement for Medical Services in the Lake County Detention Facility with California Forensic Medical Group (CFMG) for FY2018-2019; and authorize the Chair to sign.
