SUBJECT: Approve Contract between the County of Lake and Sheila McCarthy, OT, Registered for Occupational Therapy Services in Support of the California Children's Services Program (CCS) and the Medical Therapy Unit (MTU) for a term starting July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2019 and a maximum compensation of $27,244.80; and authorize the Chair to sign.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Health Services Public Health Division has been recruiting unsuccessfully for many years to fill an open Occupational Therapist position to support the State mandated CCS and MTU programs.
As a result, Public Health would like to continue to contract with Ms. Sheila McCarthy to provide occupational therapy for those children with serious medical care needs and disabilities.
Ms. McCarthy has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University with forty years of experience providing Occupational Therapy which includes working with pediatric and special needs children.
