MEMORANDUM

TO: Board of Supervisors
FROM: William Davidson
Director, Lake County Animal Care & Control
DATE: June 26, 2018
SUBJECT: (a) Waive the formal bidding process, per Ordinance #2406, Purchasing Code 38.2, determining that competitive bidding would produce no economic benefit to the County; and (b) Consider hourly contract for Veterinary Services with Dr. Richard Bachman, DVM, in the not to exceed amount of $25,000 and authorize the Chair to sign

We have created a new Agreement with Dr. Bachman that includes an hourly rate and excludes the requirement to provide an RVT. Only Dr. Bachman's contract is presented for your Board's consideration today.

Section 2-38.2 of the Lake County Code provides that competitive bidding is not required when your Board determines that it would not be in the public's interest. Dr. Bachman offers a unique combination of services, given his knowledge of our clinic, brings the full complement of necessary licenses, and is willing t...
