SUBJECT: Approve Plans and Specifications for the 2016 HSIP Signs and Striping Project; Bid No. 18-02, Federal Aid Project No: HSIPL-5914(104); and authorize the Public Works Director/ Assistant Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids once authorization to proceed with construction phase is received from Caltrans
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Plans and Specifications for the 2016 HSIP Signs and Striping Project are complete and a copy has been filed with the Clerk of the Board.
The construction estimate is approximately $385,000. The project is 100% funded for Construction with Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) Funds.
Staff recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve the Plans and Specifications and authorize the Public Works Director / Assistant Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids once authorization to proceed with construction phase is received from Caltrans.
