SUBJECT: Adopt Resolution designating the Community Development Director to review less than three acre conversion exemption applications received from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Please accept this memorandum as my request for approval of the Resolution to designate the Community Development Director to review less than three acre conversion exemption applications received from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
This review will allow the County to ensure that land use(s) conform to the county regulatory requirements. The County will have the opportunity to verify that project applicants have demonstrated a bona fide intent to convert land to a use other than growing timber that conforms to county requirements. Without appointment of a designee the project applicant may proceed with the conversion as long as someone within the County has been contacted and notified.
