SUBJECT: Approve Plans and Specifications for the Cycle 8 HSIP Signs and Striping Project; Bid No. 18-04, Federal Aid Project No: HSIPL-5914(113); and authorize the Public Works Director/Assistant Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids once authorization to proceed with construction phase is received from Caltrans
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Plans and Specifications for the Cycle 8 HSIP Signs and Striping Project are complete and a copy has been filed with the Clerk of the Board.
The construction estimate is approximately $524,000. The project is 100% funded for construction with Federal Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) funds.
Staff recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve the Plans and Specification and authorize the Public Works Director / Assistant Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids once authorization to proceed with construction phase is received from Caltrans.
