SUBJECT: Approve Plans and Specifications for the Lampson Field Airport Rehabilitation of Runway 10-28, Bid No. 18-01, AIP Project No. 3-06-0117-019-2018; and authorize the Public Works Director/ Assistant Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Plans and Specifications for the Lampson Field Airport Rehabilitation of Runway 10-28 Project are complete and a copy has been filed with the Clerk of the Board.
The construction estimate is approximately $720,500. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will be providing funding for the project through the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grant program, which has a 10% match. The matching funds are split between Caltrans and Lake County. Sufficient funds have been allocated for the local match.
Staff recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve the Plans and Specifications and authorize the Public Works Director/ Assistant Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids.
