SUBJECT: Approve Contract Between the County of Lake and Lake County Office of Education in the Amount of $36,000 from July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019 for providing a Family Positive Response program for children referred by Probation and authorize the Chair to sign
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
For many years the Lake County Department of Social Services and Lake County Office of Education - Healthy Start have coordinated to provide a Family Positive Response and Outcomes program for families with children identified as at-risk of entering the juvenile justice system referred by Probation. The program will increase families’ ability to meet minimum, basic needs while promoting the understanding of child safety and healthy adolescent development. These goals will be accomplished by making numerous attempts to establish and maintain contact with referred families, and making individualized case plans with follow up evaluations based on participation, progress and need.
