SUBJECT: Discussion and Consideration of a Draft Ordinance Effecting Administrative Fines for Violations of Lake County Code Relating to Adult-Use Cannabis Operations
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
Attached here is a draft of a possible ordinance to effect the imposition of certain administrative fines for violations of provisions of the Lake County Code related to adult-use cannabis operations.
This draft provides the opportunity for your Board to provide more specific direction to staff once you have considered the framework provided here.
There are certain limitations to local government’s authority to exact fines and penalties and I am happy to review those limitations with your Board at the time you consider this item.
